Losing The Internet

For the Human Family anyway. Today will be my last post for a while. At midnight Comcast Cable and Internet will be cast off. This along with the local phone disconnect will save the Human Family $150.00 a month. We now live in the Woods and shall be enjoying Spring and Summer to the fullest. There are many things I have to do to the Old Place to get it ready for sale. In between removing the dirt that has built up at the new place, for it has not been lived in a many a year, I shall try to stop at the Library and Blog when I can. I cannot play vids or other media there. To many pervies spoiled it for everybody else.

As for the Political Scene, I will rely on the 99% Solution. That is, anything I hear from the MSM by and by will be BS 99% of the time. On my peeks I see the MSM is still promoting the Rev. Wright crap, while ignoring Hillary's ties to extreme Right Wing Religious Groups. And as per Protocol not much about Armageddonist Rev. Hagee and other Blasphemers fully supporting McCain. I fear that the American Public will continue it's Sheep like behavior and fall for the Clinton/McCain MSM Launched BullShit. If Sen. Obama does not get the Nomination through the Dirty and Crooked means the Clinton/McCain Team will use, then I will revert to my 1st Choice, Rep. Ron Paul. Don't try to tell me any of that crap about throwing my vote away. Hillary and Sen. McNuts supporters are the one throwing there Vote away. And as for any Hillary supporters out there, You will be to blame for what comes down the line. And I save a Special Fuck You to all of Yous. On a surfing trip through the internet I came across "Suburban Guerrilla". Being a Hillary supporter she claims not to understand why there is such hatred for Hillary from Sen. Obama supporters. After referencing Rhandi Rhodes calling Hillary a Whore she asks the question, "where are the examples of Obama being treated this way by other Democrats"? She couples that question with the slur of calling Obama supporters Republican like, and writing, "stay classy". Instead of just putting up the often used "kettle meet pot" retort I decided to show her why we would be so riled up. I would of tried to be "Classy" except that would be like trying to bluff my way through a Miss America Pagent. Having grownup (Troll Alert-Door Open for Snark) all over America including my teens years on the mean streets of Los Angeles, "Classy" does not become me.

This was my response - "Well let’s see, That Clinton ad where she had the image of Sen. Obama darkened, the fake radio ad in Ohio on the day of the Primary where she lied about Sen. Obama talking to the Canadians behind the voters back regarding NAFTA, Her and her husbands praising McCain at the expense of another Democrat, you know the Black Guy, Her criticism of Sen. Obama when he said something nice about Reagan while she herself lists Reagan as one of her fav Presidents, her love affair with Murdoch. Her lie about being under sniper fire(just like a Repub Chickenhawk), taking credit she did not earn.
Is that enough? If not just wait a day.(see update above) mmmmm ooops, you said Obama supporters acting like Republicans. Not the Military Complex Whore Herself. Me bad.
Whatever lies the Clintons and their supporters throw, Sen. Obama will still win in #of Delegates, States Won and the Popular vote. I have no doubt she will put on a Convention fight. Like a good Republican her aims are to destroy any chance of Sen. Obma winning in the General and stopping a Progressive Agenda. It’s one prediction she might just make good. With a bunch of help from her supporters.

After my comment passed through comment moderation, there were 2 responses. However only one was done in a coherent manner. This was Dave's response -
"I don’t think that anyone outside the Obamasphere believes that the Clinton campaign darkened any pictures of Mr. Obama. Desaturated the picture, sure, but not darkened. And if Mr. Obama didn’t want to have the Canadian government running around claiming that he was lying about Nafta, well, the solution to that would have been to just not talk to the Canadian government in the first place.

But exploiting a foolish comment by the Obama campaign is not even on the same continent, let alone in the same ballpark, as being called a “Military Complex Whore”. And it’s pretty much routine now — a Clintonista will criticise Mr. Obama on policy points, political experience, or voter suppression, and back will come the crudest possible sexist slur possible against Ms. Clinton the woman and not Ms. Clinton the candidate.

I thought that was a pretty good comment even if factually challenged. This was my rebuttal - "Desaturated? Is that a Bushism? Like "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques"?
Voter suppression? Who is buying that? Just because her surrogates like Rendell and you keep repeating it does not make it so. Sen. Obama has played by the rules from the get go. Hillary has not. Did you know the Canadian Government contacted both Hillary and Senator Obama? Did you know both met with them? Do you know the meetings were weeks before? Why did the Canadians and Hillary lie about Sen. Obama's meeting just right before the Ohio Primary? Who do those fake "News" report ads remind you of? So, because the Canadians lied it's okay for Hillary to do so?
Policy points? You don't mean Iraq do you?
Experience? Let's see who has more time in a Legislature?
I guess you didn't like the fact that your candidate receives the most from the Mighty MIC? Guess which Dem receives the most from the Troops themselves?
Guess which candidate really did lie about NAFTA?

If she didn't wanted an answer to her question and a discussion of the facts pertaining to it then she should either not ask it or just close comments on her post. Otherwise she is just being a Hypocriten. Just like her candidate.

To Pennsylvanian Voters - Hillary Clinton's NAFTA Lies Exposed

The Good News of the Day - "The (Obama) campaign announced today that more than 442,000 contributors across the country together contributed more than $40 million in March. Of those contributors, over 218,000 were donating to the campaign for the first time."

Meanwhile the Hillary Campaign is so cash strapped that she can't pay the bills. Just more evidence that she not only lacks support, but does not know how to make do with what one has. An important talent for a President that will be faced with very severe National Economic woes will be the ability to make do.

It Don't Look Good Folks

Thanks to the concept of "Market Democracy" and it Fanatical adherents that made and make up the Clinton and Bush Misadministrations, we are now approaching the worst Economy ever in my 47 years. Unless you've been detached from American society some how in the last year, you know about the Mortgage disaster and the resulting unprecedented foreclosures. And unless you are extremely well to do, the Inflation of life's necessities is hitting your purse or wallet pretty hard. Today we learn about another Economic Indicator that should grab even the most foolhardy Bush and Clinton supporters attention.

"Citing expected growth in unemployment, the Congressional Budget Office this month projected a continued increase in the monthly number of recipients (of Food Stamps) in the next fiscal year, starting Oct. 1 — to 28 million, up from 27.8 million in 2008, and 26.5 million in 2007." There are about 300 Million of us in the U.S. You do the math. As the article states 1 in 8 Michigan residents are getting food stamps. It's serious folks.

Just as I Really Do Wish That We Were Greeted As Liberators, I really wish the Market Democracy Economic Policies that were fully implemented during the Bush/Clinton/Bush years were the best thing ever for America. Even if I could pretend to wish it all away and pretend the information concerning our Economic woes did not exist, I can't close my eyes to what's happening in my town. On my street. To my neighbors.

My town is in South Central Pennsylvania. My street is narrow and lined with houses over a hundred years old. Nothing high falutin on my street. The houses are so close together some people call them row houses. Built when Brick, Plaster, Indoor Plumbing and Gas Lighting made for the most opulent living people born before 1900 could ever hope for. Today, some are being spruced up, while other are falling into disrepair or just so far gone that they are rotting shells of what they used to be. Still, people plod on. Like Bertha who lost her husband 2 years ago. Bertha is well over 60 and still goes to work 5 times a week. Or Betty, who lost a husband and a brother on the Bloodyfields of France. She got married again, had lots of kids and divorced her abusive husband years ago. Now she has 23 Grandchildren and 4 Greatgrandkids at last count. She had 24 Grandchildren. One young boy died last year in car accident on the way to the beach on July 4th. She has 2 daughters who live with her. Well, now one does. The other is at John Hopkins. She has Crohn's Disease and she will most likely die soon. After her Grandson died, Betty who by the way is a very devote Roman Catholic set up a Mother Mary statue in her backyard. Every morning I would see her on her 80+ year old bent knees praying in front of the statue. Came winter and the statue was draped. Yet just a few days ago, though it was cold and blustery, there I saw her, praying the Rosary. When we moved here I was so surprised to see such an old woman with the amount of vitality that she had then. She lost that sparkle in her eye, oh about July 5th of last year. She's the best neighbor anybody could ever have. Guess who provided me the care and sympathy when I needed it the most? The 1st day I brought my Lil Joe home from Daycare I found my Mother dead on the couch. Distraught and with a 1 year old on my hands Betty entertained and took care of him while I tried my best to deal with the Mortician. And after I ran from the house to escape the sound of the zipper on the body bag she gave the floor of her living room to cry on till I could cry no more. There's not many like Betty. I will miss Betty Dearly if she dies before I.

There are other neighbors. Some good, some fair, some bad. They come and go. Like Michelle and Tom.

Michelle and Tom bought the house across from us about 2 years ago. A young married couple in their late twenties, they had waited until they had careers well established and a home to call their own before they brought a child into the world. I well remember them coming on Sundays before they moved in and painting and repairing that house and making it into a home. Michelle gave birth to Maggie around a year and a half ago. Cute Lil Girl. Reminded me of Joe when he was so new....

I didn't get see her or Michelle and Tom much. After 6 weeks on the Family Leave Medical Act she had to go back to work. He worked nights and she worked days. 6 days a week. At Citi Group. About 9 months ago they put there house up for sale. A bit high I think but that didn't matter. No one came to look anyways. A bit after they put it up for sale Michelle got pregnant again. This time a Little boy. Such good news! I planned to buy the Lil Guy a Mega Pack of infant diapers like we did for Maggie. I would like to do that still. But I can't. You see, this young couple so full of hope and driven by a hard work ethic were laid off by Citi Group. And around the turn of the New Year they moved out. Must of been in the middle of the night or on one of my trips to visit my aged inlaws who lived about 70 miles away. Because no one saw them or the moving truck. The For Sale sign was taken down soon after that. I checked online and read the sales on the local paper but could find no info.

When I got back from ordering my Mother's Gravestone today in Frederick Maryland, I saw the Sheriff had parked in front of Michelle, Tom and Maggie's house. When he saw me, he came over and inquired what I knew about the people who lived there. I told him what I knew and then asked him if it was a foreclosure. He answered yes. I told him about them working 2 jobs and added in "they kept their noses to the grind stone". He said, "Unfortunately that don't count much these days. The Lenders don't care about no grindstone." He then walked across the street and put the notices up and dropped a few papers into the door slot. Later I went over and read what he had posted.

All of the dashed dreams of Michelle and Tom symbolized by a few words, "Sheriff's Sale...."

If a young, vigorous, college educated, fully committed married couple can't make the American Dream a reality today we should all be worried. It don't look good folks. It really don't......

Here is my take on the debate in Cleveland -
1)I found it Hefreakinglarious that Sen. Clinton complained of being asked the 1st question all the time. She even asked why. Which went unanswered.
The men knowing that Political Correctness is the watchword of the day could not answer honestly. The honest answer (or at least mine)would of went like this,
"Excuse me Senator Clinton, but I was born in 1961 and raised to let the Lady go 1st."

Sen. Clinton's attacks fell pretty flat.
The most effective attacks on Sen. Obama came from the questions on Farrakhan. I don't mean they had any merit. However as is the wont of a supporter to put words in a candidates mouth, I would have after they kept pressing the point, was to say, "You are trying to take the words of another and put them in my mouth. I don't think anybody's buying it, but good luck." In the end he did very well on it. Sen. Clinton's attack on "denouncing" or "rejecting" was pretty weak and Sen. Obama showed just how weak it was.
Sen. Clinton's most lame attack was her lie that Sen. Obama would "bomb Pakistan". He also handled that very well.
On persona, Sen. Clinton looked as bitter as ever.
Sen. Obama looked like he was, well a President(but I admit, I'm biased on that one).

Security - If one noticed the SS was real tight up on Sen. Obama after the debate when the candidates went to sign and greet the front row. One SS man almost grabbed the left arm of Sen. Obama as if he was ready to pull him back and shield. It seemed to me that Sen Obama was keeping that elbow available to grab. The 2 SS men closest were really looking at the crowd hard.

There was only one SS man that I could see near Sen. Clinton during the signing and greet. He hung back with hands crossed.

It was a good debate and though I'm sure we all had wished our respective candidates had said this or that or the "Moderators" were less invective towards our Man or Woman I think that it was more of a service to the American voting public than any other of the debates. And what the hey, at least there were not any, "Diamonds or Pearls" questions.
